DepartUK web — No account is required and no personal data is collected by us. Your theme preference and recently viewed stations are stored locally in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device. We record anonymised counts of which stations are searched (e.g. "Bristol Parkway was viewed 12 times today") for the purpose of improving the service. These counts contain no identifying information.
The DepartUK website displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve personalised ads based on your browsing activity. This means data about your visit may be shared with Google for advertising purposes. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's ad settings.
DepartUK Android app — The app collects anonymised device information and usage patterns to improve performance. If you grant location permission, this is used solely to suggest nearby stations. Advertising is served by Google AdMob; data may be shared with Google for advertising purposes. No account is required for basic use. Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Google Play.
Train departure data is provided under licence from the Rail Delivery Group (Darwin data feed). We do not sell your data to third parties. Third-party services used include Google AdSense (web), Google Play Services, AdMob, and Google Analytics for Firebase (Android app only), each governed by their own privacy policies. DepartUK displays live train departure information sourced from National Rail's Darwin data feed. This information is provided as is and on a best-efforts basis. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data displayed.
Do not rely solely on DepartUK to make travel decisions. Always check official National Rail or train operator sources before travel, particularly for planned engineering works, disruptions, or time-critical journeys.
Paddock App Studios is not liable for any missed trains, missed connections, financial loss, or other consequences arising from use of or reliance on information displayed by DepartUK.
The service is provided free of charge and may be interrupted, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice, including for maintenance or infrastructure changes.
The DepartUK name, logo, and application code are the property of Paddock App Studios. Train data is Crown Copyright and used under licence from the Rail Delivery Group.
